★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The trails beginning at lake are pleasant & kid friendly.... lead you to a historic villa and a few other things I have yet to visit. There was a fishing competition the Sunday morning i visited.
HOWEVER if you drive a few km further into the area toward mountains, you will eventually sèe beautiful mountain views, ( in the fall/winter even snow covered mountains).
You'll also find eateries and new trails. (Like Ristorante Cant Del Gal) we did the trail named Malga Canali... and walked until it seemed like we couldn't go any further. We will find a beautiful mountain view at "Malga Canali". Bring your appetite and or wallet. You won't regret it. Delish!
NOTE: Trails also start at and lead to eateries or trattoria style restaurants!!! Yum. And reasonably priced.
The lake is only the beginning... pleasant but nothing spectacular. However, there ARE sheep behind the lake. ? There is also monument explaining various Italian sheep.
