Personalmente ho fatto quella che parte dalla SP638 per il passo Giau proveniendo da Cortina, parcheggiare nei pressi del ponte de Ru Curtu e seguire le indicazioni per il sentiero 437 e poi 434 per Croda da Lago. Il sentiero si inoltra nel bosco attraversando una serie di ponticelli su ruscelli per poi inerpicarsi rapidamente fino ad una terrazza panoramica sulla val Negra da cui si possono ammirare Cortina e le principali montagne della zona: Sorapis, Cristallo, Tofane, Nuvolau, Averau... il percorso prosegue salendo ancora per poco e declinando poi dolcemente verso il lago meta di picnic oppure di un buon pasto al rifugio Croda di Lago.
Circa 4,2 km e 380mt di salita in due ore + ritorno.
Attrezzarsi per possibili piogge nel pomeriggio durante il rientro.
Destination of one of the many walks in the area. Personally I did the one that starts from the SP638 for the Giau pass coming from Cortina, park near the Ru Curtu bridge and follow the signs for path 437 and then 434 for Croda da Lago. The path goes into the woods crossing a series of bridges over streams and then quickly climb up to a panoramic terrace overlooking the Negra valley from which you can admire Cortina and the main mountains in the area: Sorapis, Cristallo, Tofane, Nuvolau, Averau ... the path continues climbing for a while and then declining gently towards the lake for a picnic or a good meal at the Croda di Lago refuge.
About 4.2 km and 380mt of ascent in two hours + return.
Gear up for possible rains in the afternoon during the return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il lago è alla fine di varie passaggiate nella zona, io ho fatto quella del sentiero 432 dal Campo di sotto, molto lunga (3 ore) ma faticosa solo a tratti. Altrimenti si può partire anche da tratti intermedi e dalla malga Federa.
Il lago è molto bello, c'è un percorso ad anello attorno e vari spazi per sedersi attorno. Non è molto frequentato per quello che ho visto.
The lake is at the end of several walks in the area, I did that of the path 432 from the Campo di sotto, very long (3 hours) but tiring only at times. Otherwise you can also start from intermediate sections and from the Federa hut.
The lake is very beautiful, there is a loop path around it and various spaces to sit around. It is not very popular for what I have seen.
