β β β β β Very friendly staff but the food was bellow expectations... we took the menu of the day at 15euros. The price was low, but the quality of the dishes was disappointing... the backed potatoes were prepared minimum 3 hours before being served, they were cold, hard and the taste... no words...

β β β β β Absolutely fantastic, everything about it. I would recommend driving around the lake and not stopping at the first location when arriving from the highway exit of Cucullo. We stopped and paid for parking just to leave half an hour later to go explore around. The first location does have public toilets, and a few restaurants and cafes. As you drive along there are a couple of stops where you can park on the road and enjoy a blue flag bathing area. Normally there is a cafe, where you can have coffee, sandwiches and aperitivo. As well as a toilet. No key needed. Bathing in the cool waters of the lake is a fantastic experience and the views are incredible.

From the way you have to drive thru till the top of the mountain, everything deserve to be experienced!
Amazing landscapes and breathless view on the famous lake, a medium level tracking walk called "the heart pathway", bring you right at the point where you would see the heart-shape of the lake, and from there you could follow till a small town close to there.
Just before the Scanno lake, you find the San Domenico lake that is spectacular too!
You can decide to have a pic-nic sourrended by nature or at the chalet, or even, visiting one of the great towns around there!
You will be lucky if you cross some deers!
It doesn't matter what season you go there, it always worth it!
