Si trova in prossimità del rifugio Alantino nella piana di Campo Felice ed è un luogo da visitare assolutamente. Il lago ha origine dal versante ai piedi delle montagne innevate Puzzillo e Cornacchia in un'area che si chiama Capodacqua
