Bring a sled for the kids and a thermos of something warm - there are no services (including bathrooms) in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a good place to view the PREALPI OROBICHE; there is also an excellent view of the Brianza lakes and with a short fifteen minutes hike one can reach the top of Monte Tesoro where the Corpo degli Alpini of Carenno has erected a monument and a chapel in honor of the army alpine corp. The view from here is even more spectacular; on a clear day one can see Milan, the Pò valley, the river Adda that drains lake Como and a good part of the western Italian Alps. Definitely worth spending a half a day.
