★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful pools at the bottom, chunky walk down and back up though - more than a casual stroll on a path. Can imagine it gets super busy in peak season and the pools aren't that big - get there early!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It´s worth is! Arrive rather in the morning, during the week it can be crowdy in the afternoon. Entry on own risk, cannot recommend for people with problematic knees. Get enough food and water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hike. Free(?) parking (nobody checked). Slippery after all the rain. Lots of steps and uneven terrain. Bring good shoes. Should have decent physical condition or take plenty of time. Rewarding swimming spot at the bottom in crystal clear water. Takes 30min one way if you really push yourself (Garmin track is round trip). At a more reasonable speed about 40-50 minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hike down to a swimming hole.
I went in early November and at 10:00am I was the first person parked in the lot. Parking was free. There are officials posted at the locked gate but they were only there to say “you are entering at your own risk” and let everyone get over the gate with the crates.
The hike down took about 45 minutes and was very strenuous if you have bad knees like me. But the water and views below is worth the trouble!
We made it down to the waterfalls by 10:45 and were the only ones on the rocks for about 15 minutes. At 11:00 other people showed up and by 11:45 there were about 20 people.
The hike back up took a little over an hour and by the time we got back up parking lot was full (around 1pm).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hike down (40 minutes) and down (1-1.5 hour) is not easy but the reward is there with beautiful lakes in a unique area. It's supposed to be closed since 2014 but there are boxes to help you climb over the door and even a kind of unofficial agent... Also the bar nearby proposes showers for 1eur for 2 minutes, which is quite nice after all the swimming and hiking. Best advise: get there early (before 9:30) to have colder weather and fewer people.
