★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute jewel! I couldn't recommend this place more strongly. A lovely building, great rooms, wonderful rooftop terrace, and fantastic cookery lessons with pasta making.
Run by a charming half Italian half Welsh family.
Utter heaven!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for a long weekend while picking olives in the surrounding hills. La Torretta is the perfect place to relax in this tranquil and serene village. The family completely refurbished the beautiful old house some years ago and transformed it into an exemplary piece of well kept medieval architecture. The fireplace creates a comfortable warmth in the downstairs living room. Perfect to read a book or play a game on their marvellous chess table. The upstairs breakfast room is bright and spacious and has a terrace attached with a panoramic view over the surrounding hills. Everyone we met in La Torretta and in Casperia were very friendly, open and welcoming. Go and enjoy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning hill top village accommodation. The Real deal, for a quintessential Italian stay, away from the usual tourist city offerings. From the walk to the Hotel, up the tiny cobbled alleyways in the ancient Medieval walled villages, to the classically styled interior, to be welcomed by such a friendly family, then served food, which puts many a Rome city hotel and restaurants to shame. It's no coincidence then, they run Italian cookery courses here!! Fantastic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our third time at La Torretta - hosts Jennifer and Maureen welcomed us with open arms to their charming home. We stayed in the Suite which is well worth the small extra cost - it includes a private reading room with superb view and a wonderful en-suite bathroom. Days were spent exploring Casperia and the Sabine region with friends. La Torretta is so cozy with many books on architecture, unique furniture design and a lovely terrace overlooking the surrounding hills. Highly recommended to stay at least three nights to take it all in.
