Perfect place to stay in Florence, very good location. Easy to find, and very spacious room. Luigi and Barbara are great hosts, they gave us lots of tips about restaurants, sights and general orientation to the beautiful city. Breakfast is good and well presented, Luigi play beautiful Italian music over breakfast. I loved my stay and will certainly be staying there again if ever in Florence.

Positive: The owner was the best part of our experience there! He welcomed us with sweets, gave us maps and helped us with every matter!. Negative: The walls were a bit dirty, the bed and pillows uncomfortable and the hotel overall a bit old. They did not change the bed sheets or the towels none of the 3 nights we stayed there..

Positive: We liked the location, the host was kind and helpful in the begining, giving us great tips, helping with parking etc. but the place needs some minor renovation, like repainting of the walls and waching of curtains.. Negative: So finally we left with mixed feelings. When we arrived the host informed us, that an upgrade -a bigger room- was given, so we were happy. That was big family room and we enjoyed it. Than after two days, the receptionist when were about to leave for the city instructed us to move out from the room, as it was needed for someone else. It was really inconvenient, and humiliating. I think this was also an unprofessional communication as they did not inform us ahead that the bigger room is only for 2 days. I think it is not my problem, if they had some management problems with the rooms or they choose the sell a room which is already taken. They "offered" to transfer our belongings to the other room if we do not do it, so there was no option to stay. Anyway after some debate we moved into the smaller room, which could have been ok, but there the bed was broken, so when I sat on it I regularly ended on the floor. Photo attached. So my overall experience is mixed, on the one hand there is a kind and helpful management, nice and clean rooms, except the walls, great location, but the management was not professional. I never had any similar experience, if an upgrade was given to me it was given till the end of my stay or I was given appropriate information on time. Finally Booking accepted my complaint as well so I hope others wouln't have similair experiences..

Positive: Mauro is a fantastic host in Florence! Communication was easy & responsive along with excellent recommendations for the city. Easy to get to but on a busy street. Parking is underground just a few doors down from the apt. Tight parking with a steep, slippery, curved ramp but doable. Ample space for the car once in and a lifesaver to have it so close to the apt. The apt. is up a flight of stairs which Mauro helped us with our bags. The apt. is very clean & comfortably sized. Hot shower was available and the bed was very comfortable. Quiet stay for the city!!! The AC worked fantastic during our August heat wave stay. About 20-30 min easy walk directly to Florence's center, the Duomo. Highly recommend Osteria dell'Enoteca for dinner, upscale dining in a casual atmosphere. They're known for their perfect Bistecca alla Fiorentina, more than enough on it's own as dinner with choice of sides! There are bars along your walk for a breakfast cornetto & café. A gift of Cantuccine cookies and help with our bags to the car as we checked-out. I cannot recommend Mauro's rooms enough!!!.

Wonderful. Would stay here for weeks. Barbara was in communication with us from the moment we had a confirmed booking. She was very friendly and accomadating. The room was clean, big and exceeded expectations. She gave us a map and helped us find where we wanted to see. The breakfast was good and exactly what was needed. Not extravagant or over the top but definitely worth the value. The city is small so it's easy to get anywhere on bus or tax. Bus stations were right outside the building and a taxis parked outside the circle. You buy bus tickets at tobacco shops and there was one right close by. As well as banks with ATM to withdraw money. We had to end up paying cash for the room because their credit card machine broke but that could have happened anywhere. This place definitely adds to the charm of being in Florence
