Raggiungibile in pochi minuti con una breve passeggiata dal centro del paese, è circondato da un parco molto fruibile nel quale si può fare un picnic o semplicemente una passeggiata. La Santissima is a beautiful complex, unfortunately in very severe decay, which is located on a hill overlooking Gussago. Purtroppo questo monumentale complesso versa in condizioni precarie, ma si sta cercando di recuperarlo. Di origini incerte, dal 1479 appartenne ai Domenicani, che qui trovavano ristoro e ne offrivano. Vi era un Giardino dei Semplici (per piante officinali), la chiesa, il convento, i terreni, un punto di sosta. Dopo Napoleone, tra alterne vicende, divenne proprietà privata e fu cenacolo di letterati e artisti, tra cui il pittore Inganni, che qui visse. Si raggiunge a piedi, dalla piazza di Gussago, in 15', tra il verde e il profumo dell'erba tagliata. Sublime il periplo. Merlature e torricini sono del XIX secolo. The "Santissima" di Gussago is located in the center of a hill (the Barbisone) which allows a 360 degree view over the whole Franciacorta area and the mountains that form the corolla. Unfortunately, this monumental complex is in precarious conditions, but attempts are being made to recover it. Of uncertain origins, from 1479 it belonged to the Dominicans, who found refreshment here and offered it. There was a Giardino dei Semplici (for medicinal plants), the church, the convent, the grounds, a stopping point. After Napoleon, between ups and downs, it became private property and was a cenacle for writers and artists, including the painter Inganni, who lived here. It can be reached on foot, from the square of Gussago, in 15 ', between the green and the scent of cut grass. The circumnavigation is sublime. Battlements and turrets are from the 19th century.
L	L G on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simbolo del paese e monumento artistico culturale, recentemente rivisto, meriterebbe un restauro completo e una valorizzazione di prima ordine, basata in primis sulla ridenominazione coatta di TUTTA la collina a parco pubblico!! Collina negli anni deturpata, cementificata e resa un cantiere edile permanente. Symbol of the town and an artistic and cultural monument, recently revised, it deserves a complete restoration and a first-rate enhancement, based primarily on the forced renaming of the WHOLE hill as a public park !! Hill over the years defaced, cemented and made a permanent construction site.

L'ex monastero si presenta ancora bello e imponente nella sua struttura, nonostante chiuso al pubblico perché oramai pericolante, spero un giorno di poter vedere anche l'interno. Vista meravigliosa, si scorge addirittura il castello di Brescia, Crystal palace e le Tre torri e ovviamente La Stella, altra chiesa che merita sicuramente una visita. Consiglio di parcheggio in centro a Gussago, davanti al bar Caffè Danesi, disco orario di 1h, più che sufficiente per permettere una bella visita in tutta tranquillità. Nelle giornate con un bel sole e cielo limpido si scorgono addirittura gli appennini. Bellissimo posto per una gita fuori porta in Franciacorta! Truly a beautiful view and an easy walk, with only two "challenging" uphill sections. The former monastery is still beautiful and impressive in its structure, despite being closed to the public because it is now unsafe, I hope one day to be able to see the inside as well. Wonderful view, you can even see the castle of Brescia, Crystal palace and the Three towers and of course La Stella, another church that is definitely worth a visit. I recommend parking in the center of Gussago, in front of the Caffè Danesi bar, hourly disc of 1h, more than enough to allow a nice visit in complete tranquility. On days with a beautiful sun and clear skies you can even see the Apennines. Beautiful place for a trip out of town in Franciacorta!

In attesa di un restauro totale non è accessibile da tempo salvo in alcuni periodi dove si svolgono feste e manifestazione con lo scopo di raccogliere fondi per il rifacimento e la messa in sicurezza. Da qui si domina interamente il paese di Gussago con vista 360° ed in lontananza verso ovest Rodendo Saiano. Se si passa di qui va fatta una visita in questo posto incantato meglio nei momenti in cui non si trova nessuno Church with adjoining places once inhabited that stands on top of the homonymous hill from which you can enjoy a wonderful view. Merita la passeggiata per ammirare il panorama dalla sommità. Si vede benissimo lo skyline della città di Brescia e le colline della Franciacorta, come pure le montagne sul versante settentrionale. Semplice bello Beautiful construction mix between a castle, with corner towers and crenellated walls, and a small monastery with cloister. Worth the walk to admire the view from the top.
