β β β β β Visited the first time today, a local friend of mine suggested we eat and drink there. We loved the food, it was the food youβd expect from a local spot, simple and delicious. There are locals and tourists visiting the spot. Until 8:30pm or 9pm-ish you have probably a higher tourist population in there and from 9pm onwards a more local atmosphere. Donβt go there for the service and if you are in a rush, the staff is supper nice and helpful but they donβt do the tourist or American style come in, eat, pay and go version of dinner. If you want fast food, behind kissing, that is a waiter telling you that you ordered his or her favorite menu constellation - go somewhere else. If you want to enjoy home made local food thatβs rather inexpensive in a relaxed environment, this is the place you want to visit. When in season (now, November. October to December) their white truffle dishes are delish! We had starters, primi and secondi pasta, meat and fish piattis plus sides and all courses were absolutely to our satisfaction and a real treat. The price / quality ratio is superb. Weβll be going there again, there is a huge choice of good restaurants in Rome and this is a spot to revisit.

β β β β β Just looking through our August trip to Rome pictures and couldn't help but post about this little gem of a restaurant we found while in Rome. The price was reasonable - family of 4 for around $100 Euro including wine. Absolutely loved our experience, we went back for our last meal before leaving for home. The first time I wasn't sure about the family style appetizer buffet -due to lots of items I had never seen or tried before but as I found out, it was one culinary surprise after another - the next time we went, I loaded up, almost trying a little of everything - a true Italian experience! They make all the food fresh including the desserts! The owner was full of passion for food and making people happy. Going back to this restaurant was a highlight of our trip - felt like he had taken us into his home to share a meal with us.

β β β β β Super love this humble place with its magnificent taste! For three course menu, bread and the cafe americano, it costs you a good β¬28.

β β β β β for the serious reviewer:
Food: 5/5
Price: 5/5
Service: 5/5
One of the best culinary experiences I had in my visit in rome. The 1stΒ restaurant to get 5 out of 5 rating by me,of course most wont care but read carefully through and let me change your mind.
Food: having the chance to travel alittle around the world and getting into culinary arts myself I got the chance to try different cuisines all around but this place takes a special place for me. Tried the Carbonara,Caccio e Pepe the 2ndΒ day and 3rdΒ day went there for the seafood pasta. Delicious pasta prepared the right way,of course there are a lot of dishes but if you want the authentic roman style pasta these are a must try.The guancale (pig cheeks) in the carbonara will make your taste buds explode from the flavour.Iβll keep it short, the only way to prove this is to try it yourself.(thank me later)
Price: You get what you pay for and this is really important. Since a lot of restaurants/snack bars/fast foods sell their products at a higher price due to being more in the center of the city baiting the tourists in but failing to provide an authentic culinary experience.
Service: It couldnβt have been a better experience and Giacomino(if I remember his name correctly) which I think is the co owner and also the waiter made our dining experience wonderful. It is a family run business, which makes me think they communicate and coordinate orders and sevice that fast.Service is fast and on point, any more words are wasted in this topic.
Tips: Β try to go before 13:00 since at that time a lot of people from surrounding office buildings come to eat for their break. For our tourist friends from around the world, try to avoid restaurants in the center.(I know the view and plazas are amazing but these restaurants are there for tourists and offer little quality for a high price). Of course this is not meant for every restaurant but pls do your research there are amazing places too.

β β β β β Ordered their seafood plate as a starter (everything but the mussels were super tasty!) and we ordered two pasta dishes- both were yummy!
Service was good throughout but ended up taking 20 mins for us to flag someone down to get our bill.
