★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great romantic dinner. The best restaurant in the area. The experience was made completely unique because we followed the exquisite recommendations of Sergio, the owner we later found out.
He provided excellent food and wine pairings insisting we tried different things, we loved it.
Everything about the food and desserts was impressive, the best cuisine we’ve had on all of our two week long honeymoon. Cheers!

The service was impeccable, the food was amazing with the best fish I've ever eaten and a pesto pasta that was out of this world. The owner was kind enough to take us on a food journey with 5-6 course all perfectly styled and paired with wine. Best experience ever!

Many shared plates, from Appetizers, to Salads, to First courses, to Second courses, to deserts, what a delightful dining journey. We have rated our top neighborhood restaurants in Europe and Osteria Quarantaquattro easily lands in our Top 5! The personal attention, the immaculate service, and the outstanding presentation of the well thought out menu was a true delight!! We’re returning with family to share the experience! Bravo Sergio!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food in a delightful, low-key atmosphere with outstanding service. Come to "44" so owner Sergio can take you on a food "journey." He is omnipresent in the most pleasant of ways, suggesting "a little" of this lemon pasta dish, a "little" of that sea bass, perfectly prepared with stringy spinach. We also loved the capanata, the lamb pasta ragu, the shaved artichoke and fennel salad, the super-fresh melon and prosciutto appetizer, and the free taste of Prosecco. Yes, it took two visits to partake of all of these wonders. What a special place! Don't miss this gem.

Sergio, the owner, was extremely gracious and guided us through a little personalized tasting menu. His recommendations were perfect, and not only was it the best pasta I’ve had in Italy, it was also the best dinner overall! Not to mention, the service was outstanding.
When we come back to Rome, we will definitely come back to this restaurant!
Thank you Sergio for making our last dinner in Italy a magical experience ❤️
