★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding contemporary restaurant that should soon get another Michelin star. The 6 course menu was astonishingly diverse in tastes and textures rooted in Sicilian history and culture. We could see the young 6 chef crew work in a relaxed and smiling way as they turned out delight after delight for us.
The sommelier was v helpful and knew each varietal and small vineyard vintages (we had been to Terre Nere and Passopisciaro) for the chosen wine course.
We would definitely be back here. I don’t think we had a better meal in all of Italy. The service was very helpful and tolerant of my limited Italian and swapped one of the early dishes w the black rice we wanted to taste without fuss.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly accomplished food and elegant dining room/terrace. Tasting menu was very good, although no dishes particularly stood out. Restaurant is between a road (so occasional traffic noise/fumes) and the railway, but not disruptive enough to spoil the experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was exquisite. We took 6 course Chef proposition parcours and it was just eccellent. As well as professional and well prepared service.
Absolutely worth Michelin Star,as such prices are very reasonable. Definetely recommending.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place with the best view of the sea. Very friendly and professional staff. Delicious food, perfectly cooked by Chef Pietro D "Agostino. It was a wonderful culinary feast, a delightful experience. The best seafood and fish and great selection of wonderful wines.
Capinera is worth any amount you leave there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had dinner here during our visit to Taormina and was just ok. I would have expected more from a Michelin star restaurant but I was very unimpressed with the overall experience. We opted for the 6 course meal with wine. The service was prompt but not very personable a few times I had to get the servers attention for, water olive oil and wine. We started with a lentil soup which was very basic and then a raw fish course then the best course in my opinion was the pasta followed by a cooked fish course. The presentation was beautiful on all the dishes. The dessert was very good, each person got something different.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was looking for a good restaurant in Taormina, desperately trying to avoid a "touristy trap", ended up at Capinera and was pleasantly surprised. Most of the food is locally sourced, staff is well trained and the Michelin star is well deserved (actually on par with some two stars I experienced). Pro tip: the chef puts his unique signature on each dish, therefore I recommend the degustation Menu to try to them all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is excellent! Not to mention the million dollar view! The design of chef is awesome, and the staff are extremely professional and proud of what they’re doing and so friendly! Easy to park and on the way to highway ;)
