Très bon moment dans ce restaurant proposant une cuisine rustique, traditionnelle et riche en saveurs. Les entrées nombreuses et généreuses multipliaient les expériences gustatives (poulpe et petits pois, poivrons cuits, aubergines grillées, saucisse artisanale et pommes de terre, diverses salades). Le "premier" plat principal (oui il a fallu garder de la place !) se composait de pâtes aux cèpes. Quoique l'assaisonnement en persillade était un peu trop fort à mon goût, le mélange restait efficace. Le "second"plat principal (là il a fallu faire de la place !!) nous offrait quant à lui des filets de morue ainsi que plusieurs poignées d'anchois frits, frais et goutus. Pour résumer, le repas était à la hauteur de la réputation de la gastronomie sud-italienne, ce dans tous les sens du terme ! Des produits de qualité cuisinés tels que les traditions l'exigent et servis avec savoir-vivre ; servis en énormes quantités. Car oui, si les plats n'étaient pas aussi opulents, j'aurais pu sûrement terminer mon/mes assiettes.
Very good time in this restaurant offering rustic cuisine, traditional and rich in flavors. The numerous and generous entries multiplied the taste experiences (octopus and peas, cooked peppers, roasted aubergines, homemade sausage and potatoes, various salads). The "first" main dish (yes we had to save space!) Consisted of pasta with porcini mushrooms. Although the seasoning in persillade was a little too strong for my taste, the mixture remained effective. The "second" main course (there we had to make room !!) offered us fish fillets and several handfuls of fried anchovies, fresh and tasty. To summarize, the meal was up to the reputation of southern Italian gastronomy, in every sense of the word! Cooked quality products such as traditions require and served with savoir-vivre; served in huge quantities. Because yes, if the dishes were not so opulent, I could surely finish my / my plates.

Abbiamo avuto modo di trascorre una piacevole serata a pochi giorni dall'apertura di questo piccolo ma piacevole locale. Cibo di ottima qualità, preparato con passione e sapori tipici e ingredienti genuini. Antipasti forse da migliorare... magari con qualche formaggio o salume della zona...non sarebbe male. Costi contenuti ma senza trascurare la qualità. Torneremo sicuramente! La possibilità di cenare all'aperto in una delle piazze più antiche del paesino consente di rivivere contesti ed emozioni tipiche di un tempo. Complimenti a tutto il team per l'idea geniale dei tavoli in piazza e la professionalità!

High quality food, prepared with passion and typical flavors and genuine ingredients. Appetizers perhaps to be improved ... maybe with some cheese or salami in the area ... it would not be bad. Low costs but without neglecting quality. We will definitely be back! The possibility of dining al fresco in one of the oldest squares in the village allows you to relive contexts and emotions typical of the past. In januari tijdens onze vakantie hebben we overnacht aan de rand van het historische plaatsje Teano. Wat een geluk dat we het authentieke restaurantje A Cantin e Pazzale tegenkwamen. In January during our holiday we spent the night on the edge of the historic town of Teano. How lucky we were to come across the authentic restaurant A Cantin e Pazzale. Really great dinner! Pessimo! Nessuna possibilità di scelta, niente menu, ci hanno rifilato gli avanzi della settimana spacciandoli come cucina “anti spreco”, peccato che erano immangiabili. Pensavano di farci fessi spacciandoci una semplice pasta al pomodoro come sugo di tracchie, ma della carne nemmeno l’ombra! Quando gli abbiamo chiesto dove fossero le tracchie ci hanno portato dell’arrosto di vitello - lo stesso che avevo ordinato per secondo- con del sugo buttato sopra. Imbroglioni!! NESSUNO indossavano la mascherina!!
Terrible! No choice, no menu, they fed us the leftovers of the week passing them off as “anti-waste” cuisine, too bad they were inedible. They thought they were fooling us by passing on a simple pasta with tomato sauce like tracchie sauce, but not even the shadow of the meat! When we asked where the tracchie were, they brought us some roast veal - the same one I had ordered for second - with some sauce thrown on top. Cheaters!! NOBODY wore the mask !!

This is why I come to Italy. Nice people, great honest food. No fancy stuff, just simply good. Stop by if you are in the neighbourhood (or drive the extra mile to get here).Very budget friendly. Parking on the piazza.
