★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've enjoyed La Piscina's elegant canal-side al fresco "dining room" on several occasions, however I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a wonderful meal on a chilly new year's day.
The interior dining room is very lovely and extremely comfortable. I enjoyed a beautiful black risotto with scallops primo, and for my secondo, a terrific sea bream. Nice selection of regional wines, as well.
The staff and service were excellent. Our multi-generational party was large, 13 people ages 15 to 80, and they were especially accommodating to all of our needs. Will definitely go back at any time of the year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was disapointing and close to a two stars rating. The food was okay but not suficient for that price. The annoying point was the service, it took very long to order or finally to pay and one had to insist. The price is very high for the performance provided. The only good thing is the place with a nice view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious beef filet and seafood plate. Absolutely horrendous coffee though. But overall was a great experience. Should you find yourselves in the southern part of Venice - that’s a perfect place to have a tasty dinner with a nice view on the terrace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we were a bit reluctant in the start but gave it a try on a nice evening which begged to be spent by the water/sunset. We were staying at the hotel as well so thought to give it a try. Food was excellent [recommend the salmon dish], service was OK, all in all a good experience. In my opinion very pricey, but in general your euro does not buy much in venice anyway. At least this one is on a perfect spot/location. Bottom line expensive but relatively good. Recommend if you do not mind the expenditure

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seating area nice. Service was okay. Food a let down. Sent back my carpaccio because it was ice cold (I know beef carpaccio is not served warm but the beef was literally cold as ice) and not flavorful at all - that was quite a disappointment considering the price (can't remember exactly but was between €15 - €20). The mushroom risotto was okay. Overall improvement needed in quality of food to match the price point.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is no more than a typical Venice restaurant with typical Venice prices however the food was particularly poor and the service terrible. The setting on the dock overlooking the Giudecca island is tempting however we found the service positively hostile on our arrival when they screwed up a reservation for a table for four.
Despite the views, you can find better.
