★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was born in Bari and from reading the reviews I must say that I was disappointed with this place. Food was mediocre, service was slow and the bill was high. I might also add that other restaurant charge far less and you get more food. I needed a microscope to find my shrimp in the dish. Pretentious place you can find better throughout the city very very disappointed. Maybe he wants to make up the money he spent on the remodeling!

1. Avoid outside tables in summer, they are placed in somewhat a glass cubes, where it is too hot to sit. We booked a table in advance, but had to suffer there anyway.
2. The staff was arrogant and offensive, they spread an awful vibe . For example, they criticized us for our choice of dishes. Then didn’t pour a drink in a glasses. We were waiting for a first dish for 40 minutes, and then all the meals arrived at once, both pasta and appetizers.
3. In the end they shortchanged us. We took one appetizer for €13, but in the bill there was a double-appetizer for €18x2=36. Meanwhile, there was nothing special in dishes.
I strongly recommend to avoid this place. La Battigia is trying to be a fancy-restaurant, without knowing that this begins not only with a luxury design.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food, fresh seafood, very beautiful restaurant, but be careful menu prices are not correct. 200 grams of tartar cost about 35 euros when on the menu 1 kg costs 70 euros, when we asked why waiters started to say that the bones, heads of fish, etc. are also weighed, although we do not understand what bones are in tuna and shrimp tartar, and the price is given not per kilo of fish, but per kilo of tartar. Very sorry to hear that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took lunch here. It was a good experience with pasta (pasta with con vongole and pasta con gamberi&pistacio). The waiters were in a rush, running all the time from one table to another. It was like an under pressure lunch. There were many clients inside and outside, maybe the reason is that they focus is on quantity, not on quality. But overall, the food was good.
