Great location. Friendly owners. Unusually spacious. We were told that the house is 600 years old ...

I been to antico lido for 3 night .it a very nice place,The room was very big with toilet inside ,very clean and very nice personal with always with a smile on there face .it a very nice place to stay .not to far from the beaches and the bus stop.

We were given a warm reception by a nice young hostess called Cristina and her friendly assistant (cleaning lady) during our stay at the hotel, where we felt at home ! Because of flight delays we arrived in Venice late at night, but after arriving in Lido by waterbus at 1.30 am Cristina picked us up and gave us a lift to the hotel by her car. Christina and her assistant speak English, Cristina told us about how better and for how long we should buy waterbus tickets and about all sites of the island of Lido. During our stay (11 nights), the cleaning lady changed bed linen and towels (3 per person) three times as well as hygienic kit (two types of shampoo, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste set, toilet paper and female personal hygiene kits). There are enough sockets in the room, but it's better to take a multi-socket adaptor to make coffee and tea in the room, however there was an electic kettle with a set of cups and saucers, spoons and a knife, a large package of instant coffee and some sugar sachets! All cups and saucers were washed up by the cleaning lady every day(!). The room has a TV, so we watched France 24, because we do not speak Italian. The interiors of the 1912 villa reflects the spirit of the time and epoch: mirrors, candlesticks, staircase, etc. Cristina and her assistant made us two surprises - the 1st one was made on the occasion of our 10 year civil union anniversary: on the table there was a bottle of champagne in an ice & champagne bucket and two glasses, and the 2nd one was made on the Eve of our departure to St.Petersburg in Cristina's restaurant located nearby, the hostess and her guests congratulated us on our anniversary in oral form and with their champagne and a cake! :o) We very much liked staying at the l'Antico Lido Venice! Thanks a lot! :o)

We disgusted that place. Is located far from any transport, you take a lot of time walking. The Lido have busy traffic and the hotel ia noisy. We couldn't use wifi, the password written a the entrance desk wasn't right. We almost had no personal attention. Towels look like pices of textil and smells. There is no way to have breakfast close. In short, the worst place during our travel. Hope Booking remove from it's web.

We book 3 night in Antico Lido di Venezia. We get a very welcome with Christina.she is nice .The room is very nice ,butifull and clean,with bathroom in the room.large room with decirations .In the room we get Free coffee, tea in the morning. Love to go back again .

Went on last minute break with friends and no idea what they booked - location OK, nobody there any time but fine, room damp but liveable - HOWEVER THERE WERE BED BUGS!!! GOT SOME VERY SERIOUS BITINGS - PLEASE SEE THE PICTURE!!! I am most of the time a low-maintenance traveller who travels light but THIS PLACE WAS SIMPLY A NIGHTMARE - please GOD the little pests did not take a free ride with me back home!!! WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!

Hmmmm... It's a very charming old building, but in need of good quality, properly installed double glazing because it is right on the main road (also bus route). Don't take the family suite at the front of the building, you won't be able to sleep. Additionally, don't take that suite if you have a very young child, not all of the electrical sockets are in good repair. Also, their is no sound installation at all between the hallway to the front and back suites... there are a single space with a flimsy door between them... this means that you get a lot of noise when other people are coming and going. Just to add a little comedy, the light switch which operate the lamp in the hallway at the front is located in the hallway at the back.... this means that residents in the back suite can turn your hallway light on and off and probably will, because they will have no idea that they are doing so. The beaches nearby are private beaches, so in the afternoons, the hotel security guards will move you on so that the riff-raff don't spoil the view of the sea for the rich oldies and their lap dogs. All that being so, Lido itself is well worth a visit, (although, for visitors, the Vaporetto price is an outrageous x7 what locals pay... so I would like to propose that when Venetians visit Vienna they be charged 16,80 for a single ticket on public transport (; ) I ate the best pizza of my life and encounted the kindest ever waiter and owner at the Stella Pizzeria at the top of the main street on Lido.
