Strong recommend. Cute little camping among olive trees with a caring owner. Good climbing area.

Sitting on the hillside late one evening, my wife and I tried to think of a better campsite that we have visited. We had a good think, but couldn’t really find one. We’ve been camping for many many years and all the real good sites have something that sets them apart. Here, the limited size of the site complements perfectly the communal ethos promoted by the owners. The terrace and cooking area is available to all and, while you can choose to cook at your own tent if you choose, the happy conversations that arise in the open air kitchen area are wonderful. Campers by their nature are generally friendly folk; this site provides the perfect environment for people to meet. The owners are extremely diligent, the amenities are well thought through and we found them to be in immaculate condition at all times. The area is very beautiful. If this looks like your kind of thing, it almost certainly is. If there were any possible downside, the amount of natural shade on the site is a little limited. The temperatures in July/Aug 18 were particularly warm and were so glad of the fig tree on our plot. The owners have set up shaded areas and the terrace has a roof, but camping in 36 degrees brings its issues. Saying that, the communal fridges and freezers available to all are such a nice idea. Your food is fine, even if you are melting, and there is always the little pool!

Great campsite with a warm, personal welcome by Kevin. Nice common bbq terrace. Campsite is especially nice for those who love outdoors. Kevin gives lots of info on climbing, hiking, trails, etc. We stayed 8 nights, in stead of the planned 2. Thanxx Kevin

I never give 5 stars, but this place is completely perfect. The hosts are warm, kind, and eager to share their space. The facilities are spacious, clean, easy to use, and inviting. The other campers I encountered had the same vibe as the owners, which I think is due in part to the owners' intent to keep the place small and friendly. I stayed in a big tent that was the owners' personal tent because they were preparing for a large group to arrive just after I left. There were many books in the dining area to aid in whatever activities the campers are interested in. There are gas camper stoves in the outdoor kitchen area, as well as several sinks with running water. The hosts asked that the campers put a few euros in the honesty box to help with the cost of gas for the hot water used in the showers. My travel buddy had a bad skin reaction to something, and the hosts were quick to respond with antihistamines and Aloe Vera. Overall, I don't see how they could improve on anything. The experience was perfect.

Small and lovely campsite with beautiful landscapes arround you. This campsite offers clean amenities and plenty of communal spaces for cooking, dining and nights of chatting. Kevin couldn't have been more accomodating and will help you out with everything you might need. From fresh farm eggs to hiking recommendations, you name it ! When planning to stay for only one night, it might be hard to leave and not stay a bit longer :)

We went there spontaneously two days ago and were warmly welcomed :) The place is just wonderful and perfect for some hikes in the area. Unfortunately it's only open until this weekend but we can highly recommend coming here next year!

We enjoyed our day in Kokopelli. Warm and helpful welcome. Toilets make you feel like you're home. To take a shower with coins was a bit difficult, as the machine is outside the cabin. You need somebody with you there. Or we didn't get it right? :D The honesty in everything they do makes the stay more comfortable.

At Kokopelli you feel both authentically taken care of as a guest, and at home as an owner. It's not only a camping as it should be: immersed in nature, not cars allowed in, affordable, with a stunning view. It is also a true temporary community, where you are trusted to pay what you need, and take care of common spaces and resources, including a garden. I was traveling alone and found myself always in company of interesting and nice people. Jacqui and Kevin have put heart, mastery and an authentic spirit in creating a space that is beautiful, welcoming, appreciative and respectful of the land where they chose to live. A social experiment in regenerative tourism.
