★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice pine woods camp sites with shade. Plenty of services and clean bathrooms. The disco in the main area blasts till well after midnight. The beach is a 20 minute walk away, very nice and not overpacked. The restaurant and store are mediocre, but Principina is a few minutes walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed at Camping La Principina for seven nights in mid September 2017, with our own tent and connected it to electricity. This is a large site but was incredibly quiet and empty. The toilet blocks were in excellent condition and were kept very clean. Showers always hot and included in pitch price. Wifi single only available around reception and generally weak. Bicycles can be hired at five euros per day, excellent value for our day trip to Castiglione della Pescaia. A special mention goes to Leila on reception who was particularly helpful on all issues, including places to visit. Her English was excellent. Incredibly good value at just over 11 euros per night. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it. Facilities are clean and there is free WiFi in the camping ground. There is a bar and restaurant too. Go early to the the cafe bar if you want fresh croissants! :) Only downside is no power socket for charging phones /devices etc.

Pros:
➕ Decent pitches with electricity
➕ Beach right next to the site
➕ Very quiet at night
➕ Very friendly and helpful staff
➕ Good sanitary facilities and showers (no coins)
➕ Lots of shade
➕ Clean
Cons:
➖ Car not allowed near the pitch (safe closed private parking across the road though)
➖ Pitches are based on mull sand
➖ Some pitches on higher levels (not convenient with unpacking / packing from the car
➖ The restaurant makes the worst pizza ever. It's bad. It's a disgrace for Italian standards
