With our reservation in the near-empty restaurant we were guided to a hideous table next to the entrance, where people constantly pass. To sit at the better window-table was possible but not offered to us. After asking and sitting there, we were told to move because the table appeared to have been reserved. At a third table we were finally seated but very much in doubt why the service didn't offer these seats in the first place.
When the restaurant started to get full, we noticed all the young couples were directed to the dreadful table at the entrance. Old couples were immediately seated at the best possible spots. Is it because young people have lower standards or don't dare to complain?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We wanted to visit this restaurant just to experience a change of air. The prices are normal for the location, the service, and indeed for the amount of food on each plate. I really was expecting small portions; they look small in the photos too. In total, we shared one appetiser, one first and one second course (usually my husband can do that all by himself) and in the end we just looked at the desserts menu and ordered two glasses of grappa instead. They were insanely good by the way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Triest this is THE fish restaurant to eat in. Very creative cuisine with a lot of attention to details, taste and tell. Fine dining at its best, good value for money, and although the portion are relatively small we highly recommend it.
