Le archeoguide hanno organizzato una splendida visita a questo antico convento fatto costruire da Carlo Vll, re di francia ,su vigne di sua proprietà
Il convento era dell' ordine dei frati minimi di San Francesco di Paola
Ordine molto colto ove si studiava matematica filosofia e astronomia
Tale interesse e palesato da due importanti anamorfosi , pitture che cambiano a seconda di dove si vedono, opera del pittore francese

Vi è anche una importantissima .Meridiana con notevole riproduzione delle costellazioni e degli astri ,opera del Mairignant
Infine , il gesuita Andrea del Pozzo affresco il refettorio con numerosi trompe oeil, che riproducono una falsa architettura

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa divisa in due parti.Ogni visitatore la visita in due minuti al massimo e poi esce.Tutte le cappelle chiuse.Vi sono depliant delle cappelle,ma non c' e' musica e non ci sono sacerdoti.Insomma molto da rivedere
Church divided into two parts. Each visitor visits it in two minutes at most and then exits. All chapels closed. There are brochures of the chapels, but there is no music and there are no priests. In short, much to see again.

I have known the institute for more than 40 years, I had the pleasure of seeing it again after years, but I was not even allowed to enter the cloister adjacent to the concierge, which was stopped abruptly and rude by the doorman.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beyond the beauties od the ancient convent, the cloistry, paints and so on and history, there are two very particoulara things to see. The firsts are a particoular kind of wall paint called Anamorphoses (Anamorfosi in Italian). There are painted along two very long aisles, made by a monk, which is possible to understand only seeing them in perspective and not in front.
The second is an astrological meridian, which exactly measuring the day time in differents part of the world, and the astrological time. It is the same that is possible to see in Palazzo Spada, These two Meridians have been made by the same Monk.
Both Sacro Cuore and Villa Medici are hosted by French, Nuns for Sacro Cuore and Academy of France for Villa Medici.
