★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo piccolo borgo sopra Tolmezzo, con strade e case che riportano a tempi lontani, molto ben curato. Al cento del paese vi è situata una sorgente naturale che alimenta corsi d'acqua che venivano usati per fare funzionare molti mulini, vera particolarità del luogo. Da visitare soprattutto nel periodo natalizio.
Beautiful small village above Tolmezzo, with streets and houses that take you back to ancient times, very well cared for. At the center of the town there is a natural spring that feeds watercourses that were used to run many mills, a real peculiarity of the place. To visit especially during the Christmas period.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Illegio è il piccolo paese dei Mulini. Delizioso. Il mulino di Firmino è ancora funzionante! Si può comprare farina di mais appena macinata e setacciata dal mugnaio che però bisogna trattare con educazione e pazienza, altrimenti si arrabbia. Consiglio di chiedere il permesso per entrare e fotografare. C'è anche un museo che ospita fino ad ottobre una mostra di pittura interessante. Visita consigliata al paese e al Museo.
Illegio is the small village of the Mills. Delightful. Firmino's mill is still working! You can buy freshly ground and sifted cornmeal from the miller which, however, must be treated with education and patience, otherwise he will get angry. I recommend asking for permission to enter and take pictures. There is also a museum that hosts an interesting painting exhibition until October. Recommended visit to the town and the Museum.
