★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It had good pastries and a good cappuccino. The prices were very reasonable. We were asked to pay first (at the tobacco counter) then order. To remedy my lack of Italian, i took pictures of my family's selections, showed those pictures to the cashier, then went back to the food counter to order. The hours and prices and food were all his for us. It was crowded (probably a good sign) a and the back and forth between counters seemed to add confusion (but likely we're "missing something").

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i came to the gelato section of the store whenever possible in my trip to rome. the staff are so nice and fun and they told us about the ins and outs of the city. they were really great and communicated really well in english. they let us try different gelatos and suggested different flavours and combinations. it was very affordable and extremely delicious. there were so many different flavour options and the store was so cute. il pappagallo is on my list to return to if i ever come back to rome.
below are the pictures of different gelatos i had from the store. i was only there for five days and i had gelato from this place four out of those five days. trust me and try it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We picked the place because it looked nice and cozy from the outside (hence 2*), but that is all we liked about this place. Even though there were just two more customers in the restaurant, the waiter was more occupied by kicking of some balloon than with us and when he finally brought us the menu upon my request, he did not bothered to come back and collect our order. We waited for another 10 minutes until we decided to leave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cup of cupaccino was so cheap at this cafe, it was only €1.20, we ordered some Maritozzo, Cannoli and a fruit tart, altogether with the drink it added up to €3.80
Lovely cafe with plenty of seating.
