★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed my two visits to Il Palazzone in the past 10 years, and I also enjoy keeping up with the estate via email and social media, and - of course - by ordering wine and olive oil to be shipped to the U.S. Laura is the consummate host for in-person visits, and her customer service is superior. And the delicious wines? They speak for themselves. A visit to the vineyard is de rigueur if you are in the area of Tuscany near Montalcino. The grounds are stunning, and the tour/wine tasting is thorough, educational, and really enjoyable. Even if you don't know a lot about wines, Laura makes the visit fun for every level of expertise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Slice Of Heaven On Earth! My first experience with Il Palazzone began in 2008 when I joined the "Club 100" foster olive tree program.
Ever since my love for this magical place has grown through adventures enjoying the amazing Il Palazzone Brunello as well as the oil. Along the way Laura has taught us about the honor and rigor of growing in a DOCG. In 2012-13 we were lucky to visit our olive tree in person with our Labs Boomer and Harley and get a wine tasting and personal tour of the farm.
Unforgettable sunsets, wine, oil and service make this one of my favorite places on Planet Earth. I hope you can visit Il Palazzone when in Tuscany!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is “A Must Visit”!
We visited Montalcino last summer 2019 and Il Palazzone was the first winery tour on our itinerary. Laura was fabulous! She has tremendous knowledge and so patient with all my questions. This family run winery felt exactly that....like I was a distant relative from the US. So much so that I had to hug her before we left!
The tastings where perfectly set in the cool barrel room with a wonderful intimate ambience. The wine was very good, purchasing many bottles to be shipped home.
Laura took extra care not to ship the wine during the hot weather and waited until fall to ship. It was Nice to have something to look forward to long after your arrival home!
After we toured 3 other wineries in the area we all agreed that Il Palazzone was By Far our favorite!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're planning to visit Montalcino, or don't know where to go to explore wine in Tuscany, Il Palazzone should absolutely be at the top of your list! This is one of my favorite Brunello di Montalcino wines, and visiting the actual vineyards helps you understand so much more about how the wine is grown, blended, and produced. I have visited Il Palazzone three times over the past several years and they are very professional and friendly. The vineyard is absolutely stunning, and you have the opportunity to actually walk among the vines, which is an incredible experience. They are happy to go into as much or little detail about the history of the wine region and wine production as you are interested in. Laura in particular has always been incredibly helpful answering any of our questions and proposing additional wines to taste. They also have a wonderful adopt-an-olive-tree program where a local artist paints your name on a ceramic plaque that is attached to "your" tree in their olive grove, and you receive the most amazing olive oil in the mail! It is a perfect gift for yourself or others! I'm sure you won't leave Il Palazzone without a case or two of wine in tow!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In 2014 eight Americans made their first trip to Italy. On a very short list of wineries to visit was Il Palazzone, as we enjoyed the wine so much. We emailed the estate and started what has now been a six year friendship with Laura who manages the estate! We were greeted at the estate by Laura standing in the drive in front of the cellar waving and greeting us with a smile followed by a hug when we got out of the car.
The tasting was something our family talks about each time we have a bottle of any Il Palazzone wine (which has become very often). Of course the wine was exceptional and we were even able to taste the 2010 that was not even released yet!
We placed our first large order of wine as a family while onsite that day. It is now a tradition to place at least an annual but usually biannual order and our cellars now hold vintages from 2001 to 2015 Brunello di Montalcino as well as Rosso di Montalcino, Toscana, Grappa and olive oil!
We returned in 2017 and could not make a trip to Italy without another visit and tasting at Il Palazzone. Once again we were greeted by Laura and hugs all around. Then another amazing tasting in the cellar.
If you are in Italy make the trip to Montalcino and do not miss a tasting at Il Palazzone!
If you cannot make it to Montalcino find the wine, oil or grappa by Il Palazzone and buy it!
I am very late posting this review for the visits to the estate. However, we drank a bottle of the 2015 this weekend after being taken back to a better time before COVID I decided I needed to let others know about Il Palazzone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently opened prized bottles of Il Palazzone olive oil and Brunello di Montalcino wine, and the aromas and flavors of these products transported me from my home in the U.S. to Tuscany. About a year ago, I was in a fortunate group of 14 family and friends who had a wonderful visit to the estate. Guided by the personable, knowledgeable and witty estate manager, Laura, we glimpsed the process and tasted the magnificent bottled fruit of the olive trees and grape vines that are nurtured there.
The vineyard is beautifully set outside the hill town of Montalcino, known for its superior wines. The feel of the cellar is both traditional and modern, and it is an exceptionally lovely spot to taste the wine made there. If you are looking for a magical, close-up view of oil and wine production, and to enjoy products that are among the very best of their kind, arrange a visit to this special place.
Conveniently, the estate also ships their special oil and wine. If you are anticipating a trip to Italy, want to evoke a past visit, or simply appreciate the top quality oil and wine of Tuscany, a delivery from Il Palazzone will bring you delight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been to Il Palazzone twice; most recently in September 2017. The vineyards and property have grown and changed, all for the better. The one constant has been Laura, the most gracious of hosts. Her expertise and friendly manner made each trip memorable. On our last trip, the new tasting rooms had been finished and Laura had prepared a special welcome for us to assist with the tastings. We were there on the day the last of the harvest was brought in. It was a special treat to glimpse the workings of the vineyard. I highly recommend a trip to Il Palazzone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been privileged to visit Il Palazzone at least twice. It is a beautiful vineyard in gorgeous countryside. For both visits, we made an appointment for a tour and sampling, and came away with a case of wonderful wines. One visit coincided with the arrival of the season's last load of grapes, a busy moment for Laura and crew, so we stood back and watched the fascinating process. These visits -- followed by extraordinary noon dinners in town -- are among our fondest memories of many visits to Tuscany. It is a place we yearn to return to.Until that day arrives, we still order wine from Il Palazzone, and savor the olive oil we receive each year as part of Club100.
