We were recommended this place by a local who told us it was the best place to eat in Greccio, we arrived at the fully booked restaurant on the "serata degli innamorati" and despite having not booked in advance and being 2 young ladies (one Roman and one English) with a young child (definitely not 'innamorati"!!) they managed to find us a table. The service was wonderful and they were extremely friendly. They even managed to invent some dishes for the fussy vegetarian of the party. The antipasto was abundant and delicious. I had the best scamorza soup - anzi the best soup - I've ever had in my life. We were completely stuffed to the brim after just the antipasto and wonderful primo. We managed to survive through the delicious secondo and even have a small dessert of real frozen fruits filled with ice cream (strawberry, chestnut, walnut etc). Such wonderful service - it's not always so easy to find good or friendly service in Rome and the surrounding areas!
The decor inside and the view outside is just breathtaking. Can't wait to return during the summer months!

It can take a bit of persistence to find this gem - but it’s worth it. The best we’ve dined so far and that’s after several Michelin star places. The pesto crepe was a dream. The contorni, the best we’ve ever had. And the desserts! We assumed they would be less inspired- blissfully wrong. The chocolate cake - Black Forest style better than any I had in Bavaria. The fruttiti are small fruits or nuts with the corresponding ice cream inside. Heaven
