Not at all the tourist trap I worried it might have been, there is an emphasis on excellence and innovation evident here, combined with a respect for local and traditional elements. Great dishes, wine, service and interesting amouse bouche! We loved it and it stood out, even after many other delicious Italian meals. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a November dinner in the outside restaurant as we didn't reserve. We liked the atmosphere and the heating. The waiters were very helpful and friendly. We had one primi (pasta) and one secondi (octopus) - both were well made and reasnobly priced. The house wine was also very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At least on a par with the best food we have eaten it Italy and we have lived in the country for 20 years and know what we are talking about. The menu - like all the best lists - was not extensive, but very choice. Starters, pastas and all secondi were excellent. The wine list was extensive (but not all expensive). The staff were very friendly, professional and efficient. Attentive without appearing to hover - a rare skill in any restaurant. We were only in Orvieto for 3 nights but having found this restaurant on the first night we returned twice more and were not disappointed. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arguably the best meal we've had in 7 weeks travelling through Italy. My wife had the spicy chicken and I had pork steak in a pepper sauce. They were both absolutely lovely and cooked really well. Service was excellent and the ambience was lovely and calm. We had a thoroughly good evening.
