★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got there early on a Monday night. We were the only ones there. The service was awesome as was the food. My husband thought it was the best he’s had in Italy. Mine was in the top 5 that I’ve had after a month of travel. Another couple came after us. Their food looked amazing as well. Would highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Inedible chopped meat on bread. Sandwich had a bone the size of a golf ball and huge slices of pure fat, while also somehow being dry and salty. Idk what these other reviews are talking about...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Portions are kind of random. You may get quite few forkfuls of fresh pasta as we had and see the waiter deliver an ogre-size dish of tagliatelle to the child sitting next table. Quality is average

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well past due from my family’s August visit. What a treat this was. We (family of 4) arrived to the plaza doumo square starving after climbing out of St Patrick’s well. At the time we arrived everything was closed except for this place and they were in process of closing too. The hostess, who was super friendly with my family greeted us like we were family. She helped us pick and fed us with random things from the menu. In that hour we were there it felt like time stopped. Not just was the food incredible but the stories and what occurred in that hour I will hardly forget such as:
1. The food, mainly the sausage which was sourced locally.
2. The hostess story. Lo and behold she was a New Yorker at one time too. Unfortunately at the worst time which was before 911.
3. Random tourists coming by and asking the hostess whether she could sell them the knives on the table. We were perplexed and they too.
4. Finding out that good waiters are truly difficult nowadays too come by in Italy especially since kids are not apt to work. One reason for this is supposedly that grand parents shower them with money.
5. Offering the local white wine to end the experience and saluting with her dad Pippo was just perfect.
Orvieto felt sleepy when we arrived but with 3 months looking back, it created such a warm memory that I had to capture it this way.
Thank you again for making our experience wonderful. Best wishes to you and your family and may you always be who you are to the people who visit, truly made an impression!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stop browsing - go here! One of the very best meals we’ve had in the whole of Italy. I had the wild boar sauce on pasta and it was divine. My partner had artichoke pasta in truffle oil and again it was amazing. Service fantastic atmosphere soft and warm. Well priced as well with decent size portions.
