Great burgers, many brands of beer.

Very cool lil Pub ..food is great..???

The barman, shown on left here, ripped us off. Charged us twice the price that any other bar in the village charged and insisted it was a fair price. Managed to get away with it because he insisted the draught beer he served us - and which was not on the menu or priced - was worth the inflated price because of serving it in the 'beer tower' shown. He charged us 260 Euro for four of these x 3 litres, so over 20 Euro a litre. We told everyone we bumped it, and were told next time to call the Police. At our hotel they were outraged by his behaviour, and could not believe what a rogue this man is. At other places, young guys - running shops, bars, etc - almost burst out laughing in shock and then were upset at how this clown is ruining their island's reputation.

As promised to the waiter, a review. Greasy food. Small portions. Passable burgers. I don't mind all that. It is a bar after all. But the next bit really gets me: Magically appearing extra charges. We ordered: Chicken wings. 7 euros it said on the menu (only six small pieces of chicken so a bit steep). American mix. 7 euros (French fries and couple pieces of sausage and bacon greased in cheddar). Captain Morgan burger. 7,5 euros (burger bun, meat, onions, salat and French fries inside). A water. 1,5 euros A coke. 2,5 euros. When I ordered the burger the waiter asked if I wanted ketchup and mayo to that. I said yes please. I was under the impression atthat time that the French fries would be on the side so ketchup and mayo would be nice i thought. I was handed a small portion of mayo and ketchup and I thought ok. BUT Don't say yes to the mayo and ketchup! If you do, then magically you are charged for that on each food item you order. The bills said: 8 euros for the chicken wings. 8 euros for the American mix. 8,5 euros for the Captain Morgan. Oh and 2 euros pr. person for service (normal is 2 for all or 1 per person on the island). When confronted, the waited explained that you had to pay extra for the mayo and ketchup they put inside the burger. Plus 1 euro pr. Item you could have used the ketchup and mayo for. So if you don't say yes you would get a burger with no dressing inside. I don't mind the extra euro, just don't care to be cheated and tricked into paying more. And when asked to correct it, the waiter just refused. Unfortunately I had already given him the cash. The card reader didn't function either so had to use cash. Stay away if yow want to eat. Ok place if you want to drink and don't mind the extra service charge.

Snack food in a nice place. Quiet good food but really really expensive (our most expensive restaurant in 2 weeks in Sicily) without a real welcoming feeling as a client... In a few words, that was not a good experience. I would not recommand it !

Nice atmosphere! Big outdoor seating area in a lush garden. Burgers a bit dry, only one beer available (odd, for a place that prides itself on beer). Service standoffish.

Extremely top notch hamburgers and a wide variety of beers. If you are in Vulcano and you are like in a chilling mood, this is the place to be.
