★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an exceptional anniversary dinner here and it certainly is worthy of its Michelin star. The service was extremely attentive and hospitable. The ingredients were local and fresh and the dishes were very tasty. Everything was as would be expected in a restaurant of this caliber. They also brought several dishes as specials from the kitchen which was a nice touch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing dinner! We had the 8 course chefs menu and it was absolutely outstanding. The food was delicious, the presentation left us speechless. They also offer wine pairings with their tasting menus.

1) You spoke to my Italian partner in the informal way (you).
2) You were rude when we told you about our food allergies and throughout the meal.
3) The food was mediocre - for €28, the octopus was awful and fish was average.
4) You told us about the ‘specials’ when we were ordering, not before.
5) You chose my wine without telling me the price.
6) I had to ask the price of your special dishes.
7) You poured our water from a bottle into a dirty decanter, we asked to keep it in the bottle but were told the Chef doesn’t like the way this looks on the table - REALLY?
8) You brought the wrong dishes to us.
9) But worst of all, you made us feel very uncomfortable because we were a male couple.
What a shame, your restaurant has so much potential, but you think (because of your Michelin) star that you are more important than the customer - wrong, the customer is king.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ solid italian cuisine in sorrento that is good to enjoy if you’re looking for something nice. we weren’t too wowed with this food experience but Il Buco felt that we were at a place where the chef was seasoned in their experience cooking. although my dessert was fine, my friend was a bit turned off by the dessert since she was given a chocolate explosion and it prompted us to tell future restaurants that we don’t want a dessert centered on chocolate. still recommend if you’re looking for a michelin meal in sorrento.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute pleasure. Great service and some spectacular dishes: the raw fish was the most fascinating of all. Plenty of little surprises that took the experience to the next level. For a Michelin restaurant and for the amount of food we had it wasn't even that expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I each tried the “I Trust You” menu, and we were served the finest meal of our entire trip. After some amuse-bouches and wine, the chef greeted us warmly, discussed our preferences, and crafted a five-course meal for each of us on the spot. The dishes varied from the traditional to the avant-garde; each was a delight to behold and to eat. The attention to detail was masterful; a tiny dollop of lemon gel completed the presentation of the plate and added a critical pop of citrus flavor to the lobster pasta. The experience was as memorable as the flavor, and I look forward to the chance to revisit both.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried the “I trust you” tasting menu and had the best experience. The server asked for preferences and even paced my dishes with my partner who did the seafood tasting menu. The small dishes in between courses were a great touch and the bread selection was amazing and well-presented in a multi-layer box.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a lovely experience. Great staff, good wine pairing and an overall top ambience. However, the food was slightly off the mark with a Michelin star. Some dishes were noticeably missing elements to turn this review from a four star to a five star. We had the tasting menu - perhaps we chose a bad night.
