★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Buon panino con lampredotto ma a mio gusto non il massimo a Firenze. Forse a causa dell'affollamento ho trovato il panino con il lampredotto un po' normale e tagliato troppo grosso. Salse nella norma. Da fiorentino cerco qualcosa di più ma comunque un buon panino. Consigliato.
Good sandwich with lampredotto but to my taste not the best in Florence. Perhaps due to the crowds, I found the lampredotto sandwich a bit normal and cut too thick. Sauces in the norm. As a Florentine I am looking for something more but still a good sandwich. Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even if you don't care for "trippa" (offal) this trattoria will offer you a vast variety of other foods. Go there with friends, get one plate of trippa for the entire table to share (so everybody gets a taste and finds out if they like it!) as well as a normal Firenze dinner (and wine of course; house red is OK but in your shoes I'd get a real Chianti instead, it's not super-costly anyway).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a good place to get the traditional Florentine sandwich: the lampredotto. There are several other options more centrally located but this guy only sells lampredotto and trippa, the latter being cow stomach. It is the food that the working class in Florence used to eat and luckily it's still popular. While you can buy trippa all over Italy the lampredotto is a local specialty which you should try. It can be served with several sauces like a green hot sauce (salsa verde) but the traditional one is just booked in broth with salt and pepper. It's not particularly fat or hard to digest. Set aside your prejudice against organ meat and give it a try

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ honestly, there's more fat than guts. Bread is not necessarily very well worked. It's really classic.... So if you like fat, it'S OK. If not, I think it's expensive for this sandwich. There are only spices that give taste to sandwiches
