★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My sliver of a room (it was a single) felt more like a boat cabin or jail cell than a hotel room. There was physically no available space to lay my suitcase flat. The bathroom was so small that when using the toilet I found my legs crammed under the sink. The blinds only closed half the length of the window allowing zero privacy - the addition of sheer curtains were no solution. The air conditioning was dysfunctional. This meant I was forced to leave my balcony door open with significant street noice, while still uncomfortably hot. I should also mention the furnishing and decor of this place is extremely outdated, the worst being the tired green carpet that flanks the entire building. I left feeling tired, hot, and bothered.
Two stars are awarded for the breakfast, friendly staff, good location, and the surprisingly tasty free candies in the lobby.
