Very interesting and suggestive place.The cave "Grotta del Tono" found in Gioiosa Marea - Sicily, carved out of the limestone (karst) a phenomenon has been created because of high concentrations of lime. There are a series of passageways that intersect at different points. Inside, stalactites and stalagmites that come from both the celling and floor of the cave. Also, the Cave is situated overlooking the sea and offers easy access to the amazing, peaceful and quietness Gioiosa Marea's beach where I can admire a stunning view of volcan Stromboli and all Aeolian Lipari Islands so... as the beatiful sunsets of Sicily. The guides are very helpfull and friendly. Recommended!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I suggest to visit Gioiosa Marea in between the last week of august and the first two weeks of September as it has the most beautiful colors I've never seen. During our holiday we have met Fabio that was a fantastic guide for this beautiful natural cave. He let us in the grotta del tono and we remained very satisfied about the visit. Fabio has a lot of experience with tourism and gioiosa marea is his city. Nobody could have explained us better . What to do and what to see. Thank you very much Fabio!

Awesome and Amazing tourist attraction just few steps of the lovely Gioiosa Marea beach.
Interesting Cave characterized by limestome rocks rise to phenomenon of karst that is manifested in the cave with concentrations of limestone formations and stalactite and stalagmite.
The guide Fabio very kind and pleasant.(Funny Guy).
Tour and trip around Gioiosa Marea Super Recommended!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very interesting place with excellent stories by our guide Fabio who was born and raised in this town. He speaks English and is happy to answer all your questions. Although not a big or long tour the cave "Grotta del Tono" found in Gioiosa Marea - Sicily was easy to navigate & easy to locate!! A little unknown place to us (having been to Gioiosa Marea many times) recommended by the tourists information. Really helpful advise on the area/other interesting places nearby. Hopefully in years to come the connection to bigger caves gets opened up & explored. Definitely worth a visit and fun for the whole family being suitable for children and even pets.
