★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stupendo, posto magico bellissimo panorama delle Isole Eolie molto suggestivo il Museo delle Torture e la Sala con gli scudi araldici... C'era un evento di falconeria e tra i vari rapaci il gufo reale siberiano era spettacolare!
Superb, magical place, beautiful panorama of the Aeolian Islands, very impressive the Torture Museum and the Hall with the heraldic shields ... There was a falconry event and among the various birds of prey the Siberian eagle owl was spectacular!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incantevole. Siamo stati accolti gentilmente. Ci hanno dato tutte le informazioni, sul parcheggio in tempo reale su WhatsApp. Abbiamo fatto una bella chiacchierata sotto al pino con il custode che ha risposto a tutte le nostre domande.
Enchanting. We were greeted kindly. They gave us all the information on parking in real time on WhatsApp. We had a nice chat under the pine with the caretaker who answered all our questions.

L'attrazione vera della visita è stato assistere alle spiegazioni dei Falconieri e vedere i loro rapaci ma credo sia un evento del solo venerdì pomeriggio. Senza la presenza dei rapaci avrei dato una stella in meno
Defining it as a Castle is perhaps excessive, a small place with little to see to justify the ticket. The real attraction of the visit was to attend the explanations of the falconers and see their birds of prey but I think it is an event on Friday afternoon only. Without the presence of birds of prey I would have given one less star

Unfortunately I could only see the castle from the outside as it is closed. However, the medieval village is very nice. It is worth a visit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The exhibition of torture devices, gives a chillning insight of the dark ages. Lots of old weapons as well. Didn't liked the fact you weren't allowed to take photos inside of the castle, and I agree with the others, quite expansive ticket for what you get. We got a 5 euro family discount though, that was nice. If you are in the area, you should defently go.
