★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magical as well as mystifying. Stalactite like figures come out of the walls with traditional sculptures along side. The more you gaze the more comes out from the grotto walls. Nice painted ceiling as well. Not 5* because it could only be viewed from behind locked gates unfortunately, but great piece of artwork. Returned in September 2019 & the Grotto was open so we were able to appreciate close at hand the sculptures & artwork which adorn the walls & ceiling of the grotto .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing grotto of the medici family. Too bad they only open to see inside for certain time so we missed that. Though we had a quick glimpse of the inside - looks amazing. If you come to boboli garden you have to go see this too.
