We stayed in this hotel for family Christmas and New Year ski holiday. Half-board, breakfast and dinner. The room is a little outdated and an upgrade would be useful, we requested a panoramic window, the mountain view was really amazing. There was a bedding and towels missing in one bed so we kindly asked for it at the reception. Unfortunately, for all day it did not arrive so in the evening we had to go and ask once again. Helmut at the reception is nice but not helpful in many situations. The batteries in TV remote control didn't work and at the reception we were told by Helmut that they don't have any new ones in hotel. I understand that this hotel in high in mountains but I would expect them to have some spare batteries especially during this busy time of the year when they can have many guests. On the 5th day of our stay WiFi network stopped working at reception we were told to use our own services. Helmut informed me that WiFi it's broken and technician will be available on 3rd January (we're leaving hotel 2nd January) I thought it's weird and was right as after few tries WI-FI was working. I got WiFi back, so again reception misleading information. There is smoking room on restaurants level. It's not smoke proof therefore when someone is smoking there the whole corridor smells with cigarettes which is discusting. BREAKFAST: Very average, poor choice. Dry rolls, 1 type of cheese every day, really disappointed. DINNER: Very good, every day something new, a lot of local produce to try. You can choose or swap of you're not keen on something. The staff at dinner exceptional, especially Julia is kind, helpful and attentive. Really enjoyed dinner time. SAUNA & GYM: Very small. The cleaning ladies really kind, nice, smiling and helpful. Generally if it wasn't the mountain view and the glacier experience the hotel is very average and hasn't got much to offer. For this price of over €2500 I was expecting little bit more attention to detail as things like WiFi or remote batteries maybe are not the most important but show how the hotel is treating clients and I felt ignored as customer.

Wow. We absolutely loved this place. The view is breathtaking. Sadly this time of year really only attractive for ski'ers as the winter hiking trails (to the mountain cross and "Schöne Aussicht" are limited and totally inaccessible right now. The cheaper rooms look dated, furniture is worn and the carped is tacky but it's good value for money considering the stay included the cable car ride, half board and of course the location + view. The restaurant was decent. The bar and service team are very nice. We had no trouble with communications even though we don't speak Italian (English / German). Should add a bottle of water or mini-fridge to the rooms.

A dream - sleeping in the highest hotel of Europe (6th highest of the world!) is truly a unique feeling and a once in a lifetime experience. Everything was well organized (check-in, parking, going up with the cable car etc.). We had the room 111 which is the brand new one with an amazing view!!! A four course dinner with the perfect sunset in the background was offered in the evenings. The food was good. After reading some comments where people complained - I cannot relate, the hotel and food was way better than I expected - keeping in mind you are at 3.200 m height (you should not compare this place with a 5* hotel down in the valey). The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Please keep in mind that the weather can change very fast (on the first day we had bad weather with -17 degrees and strong winds up to 100 km/h. I used the time for reading and checking out the Sauna. The next day offered one of the most incredible sunrises I have ever witnessed and was perfect for skiing!
