★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Agreed on Saturday evening for a day rental on Monday morning at 9:00 and also gave a deposit. Monday morning 9:48 the shop is still closed and waiting outside for the manager to turn up! Enough said!
Edit: Finally the proprietor turned up an hour and 25minutes late, no car, no apology! Refunded the deposit on the street without a word, turned his back and scurried to open the shop shutters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The company asked for a returnable deposit of 100 euros - due to be repaid 90 days after the car was rented. I did not like this arrangement but agreed. They did not return the money after 90 days or respond to any emails about it. Eventually I asked a local contact to try and get it back for me. After several times of trying my contact received the money which was 6 months after we hired the car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Annabel at the Gioia Rental on Via Santa Lucia in Naples is wonderful. Very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this rental agency mostly because of her. The car was brought to the rental place with the tank completely empty, which has never happened to me before, as I've rented cars in many different countries and here in the USA. But, Annabel made renting the car pleasant, and she went out of her way to even get me a taxi when I returned the car. !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called to book a car, they said it would be available the next morning. Came to the office and the car was not available. I would have given them prepayment over the phone if they said it was needed. Not good service.
