★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Giardinetti nel pieno centro storico di Roma, con una bellissima vista sia su Piazza della Repubblica che sulle Terme di Diocleziano. Al suo interno contiene il controverso (all'epoca) Monumento ai Dogali. Sicuramente una passeggiata e una sosta all'ombra dei bellissimi alberi all'interno di questo piccolo parchetto ti faranno sentire circondato da migliaia di anni di storia.
Little gardens in the historic center of Rome, with a beautiful view of both Piazza della Repubblica and the Baths of Diocletian. Inside it contains the controversial (at the time) Monument to the Dogals. Surely a walk and a stop in the shade of the beautiful trees inside this small park will make you feel surrounded by thousands of years of history.

Unfortunately, much of the space is invaded by practically stationary stalls. It is therefore not an enjoyable space.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abbandonato totalmente , topi ed escrementi umani fanno da contorno ad un monumento bellissimo. Drogati e senza tetto sono i residenti del giardino .
Totally abandoned, mice and human excrement surround a beautiful monument. Drugged and homeless are the residents of the garden.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I Giardini Einaudi, si trovano nel Rione XVIII (Castro Pretorio), nell’area dove si trovavano le Terme di Diocleziano, hanno una forma quasi triangolare, dalla parte più stretta sono delimitati da Piazza della Repubblica e dalla base sono delimitati dal Museo del Palazzo Massimo alle Terme.
Al centro si trova incastonato l’Obelisco di Dogali, il quale fa parte dei 13 obelischi antichi di Roma, è stato l’ultimo ad essere stato ritrovato, nel 1883 nei pressi della chiesa di Santa Maria sopra Minerva.
L’obelisco fa parte di quelli Egizi, dell’epoca di Ramses II (1279-1213 a.C.), ed è alto circa 6 metri.
Fu posto a coronamento del monumento ai caduti di Dogali, in Etiopia nel 1887, con il basamento l’opera è alta circa 17 metri.
All'inizio, nel 1887, fu messo nella piazza antistante la stazione Termini, nel 1924 per il riassetto di Piazza dei cinquecento, fu spostato nel giardino dove si trova attualmente.
The Einaudi Gardens, are located in Rione XVIII (Castro Pretorio), in the area where the Baths of Diocletian were located, have an almost triangular shape, from the narrowest part they are bordered by Piazza della Repubblica and from the base they are delimited by the Palazzo Museum Massimo alle Terme.
In the center is the Dogali Obelisk, which is one of the 13 ancient obelisks of Rome, it was the last to be found in 1883 near the church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva.
The obelisk is part of the Egyptian ones, from the time of Ramses II (1279-1213 BC), and is about 6 meters high.
It was placed to crown the war memorial of Dogali, Ethiopia in 1887, with the base the work is about 17 meters high.
At the beginning, in 1887, it was placed in the square in front of Termini station, in 1924 for the reorganization of Piazza dei Cinquecento, it was moved to the garden where it is currently located.
