★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On first meeting luru at galleria popolare I instantly felt her personality matched her work. As I entered I was greeted warmly and with enthusiasm surrounded by wonderful, expressive colours bursting out from her paintings.
It seems she is always producing work and the energy she puts into it comes out in vibrant expressive works full of sweeping gestures controlled with deftly made markmaking.
Excellent!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a beautiful shop and gallery. I accidentally stumbled upon Loredana’s incredible store while I was looking for the Palazzo Abatellis. What a wonderful surprise! Loredana is so warm and welcoming and her paintings are truely unique, capturing the Sicilian culture as only she can.
Loredana evokes images of old European folklore throughout her work to create her colourful and richly decorated paintings.
It is rare to stumble upon an artist’s studio so I feel very fortunate to have found Loredana and bring some of her beautiful paintings back home to Australia with me

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While walking through the city center, I randomly stopped in the Galleria Popolare. Its owner, artist Lorenzolene De Verde was very open and carying, we spent some time chatting about the art and later on she invited me to come again to show me some painting technique, the lesson was insightful because it has showed me the way to approach my painting differently. Thank you :) !

The care that Lurù dedicates to each person that walks through her door, be it to explain her project, the cultural significance embedded in each piece, or to express the immense love she feels for her city and its endless marvels. I walked by the gallery by accident and was immediately mesmerized by the unique and stunning artistry and personality that Loreadana embodies.
I definitely recommend visiting the Galleria Popolare!!!
When I come back to Palermo it is definitely the first place I will visit! <3
