★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Laici Domenicani sono, come sottolinea la stessa denominazione, laici, cioè battezzati con una missione e una loro dignità e indipendenza. Sono, però, dei veri domenicani che, in forza della loro professione emessa in nome del Maestro Generale, vengono incorporati all'Ordine accettandone in pieno la giurisdizione, garantendogli anche quella fedeltà alla Chiesa, al Magistero e al Papa. Sono, pertanto, giuridicamente al pari dei frati e delle monache, membri dell'Ordine a pieno titolo. In quanto laici, come tutti gli altri, devono certo santificarsi vivendo nel mondo; in quanto Domenicani, dovranno farle impostando la loro vita ´sull'esempio di San Domenico e di Santa Caterina da Siena,, illustrando la vita dell'Ordine e della Chiesaª (Reg. 5).
 Lay Dominicans are, as the name itself points out, lay people, that is, baptized with a mission and their dignity and independence. They are, however, true Dominicans who, by virtue of their profession issued in the name of the Master General, are incorporated into the Order, fully accepting its jurisdiction, guaranteeing it also that fidelity to the Church, to the Magisterium and to the Pope. I am therefore legally like the friars and nuns, members of the Order with full rights. As lay people, like all others, they must certainly sanctify themselves by living in the world; as Dominicans, they will have to do it by setting their lives on the example of Saint Dominic and Saint Catherine of Siena, illustrating the life of the Order and the Church (Reg. 5).
