Una gemma del 1700, nascosta, che non è possibile intuire dall'esterno e per questo tanto più sorprendente. Peccato sia aperta solo la mattina per i visitatori e mai nel weekend. Ma da vedere, assolutamente. Wonderful place, moreover public and with free access (managed by the Ministry for cultural goods and activities). A hidden gem from the 1700s that cannot be guessed from the outside and therefore all the more surprising. Too bad it's only open for visitors in the morning and never on the weekend. But to see, absolutely.

Sono entrata dicendo:"Buongiorno!", guardando i due uomini, seduti dietro al desk, negli occhi. E mi sono sentita dire:"Dove pensa di andare? N'è che si entra...così!" In tono canzonatorio da classica commedia romana. Peccato che, la discussione seguita dopo, non era affatto da ridere. Il signore con gli occhiali, sempre più sfacciato, ha continuato a redarguirmi, nonostante io gli abbia fatto notare in totale assertività che stava assumendo un atteggiamento aggressivo nei miei confronti. Il tutto si sarebbe potuto risolvere in maniera tranquilla, spiegandomi che occorreva fare la visita guidata, cosa che io non sapevo e che non avevo letto da nessuna parte. Anche io lavoro a stretto contatto con le persone e non ci si confronta così con chi entra. Se si è stufi e saturi, sarebbe opportuno lasciare spazio a leve più giovani e ben più pazienti. E	Eduardo Manuale on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un autentico tesoro non a tutti noto; questa biblioteca seicentesca- oltre ad essere ancora fruibile a tutti per la presenza di un' ampia sala lettura- ospita al suo interno un patrimonio culturale inestimabile, ubicato nella sala principale, la quale resta aperta dalle 11:30 alle 13.00. Visitatela almeno una volta o più, dal momento che all' interno della sala riservata allestiscono periodicamente delle esposizioni di grande pregio. An authentic treasure not known to all; this seventeenth-century library - as well as being still accessible to everyone due to the presence of a large reading room - houses an invaluable cultural heritage, located in the main room, which remains open from 11:30 to 13:00. Visit it at least once or more, since inside the private room they periodically organize exhibitions of great value.

That time entry wasn't possible for an unspecified reason, this time 'restoration works until December' Whislt this is no doubt true & the gentleman on the front desk polite, the number of access issues people appear to experience seem too numerous to be coincidence. If public visits are troublesome they should limit entry to pre booked, one day per week or similar. Cannot conment on interior since not yet seen. Staff speak limited English so Italian should be preferred.
J	J Marinelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having come to Rome over the last 25 years, having found this gem was quite breathtaking! This 17th century library is open to the scholars and students of today as well as to the general public between the hours of 11:30am - 1pm. The staff is quite friendly and Marianna was the librarian who escorted me to the main hall. When you first enter the main library, it really takes your breath away. The care and preservation is remarkable. The striking details in the book cases and craftsmanship is very nice too. Highly recommend both young children and adults alike visit this library and feel the history around them. The Mapped globes were pretty cool to see too and reflect on what was known of the world during those times too.
