A differenza di molti altri la sua posizione, in una zona non sempre facilmente accessibile, in aperta campagna, lo rende ancora più affascinante. Un po' trascurato ma daltronde, vista la posizione, senza strada asfaltata, e lontano da tutto, non è semplice manutenzionarlo. Se si vuole godere di aria di campagna incontaminata e respirare un po' di storia, è il posto ideale. A proposito di storia, sulla vita di Graziella Campagna, il cui ricordo si può trovare anche al forte stesso, fu girato un film; peccato che le scene vennero girate al forte Crispi, zona Campo Italia, sicuramente più agevole da raggiungere per girare le scene. Also the drive through the forest to reach the fort is a nice change from the usual bland scrubby hillsides of Sicily. There are many tall trees which create a dark and shady retreat from the summer heat.
