★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a nice experience but clouded by the slow service caused by a mistake in the kitchen which I doubt they would have noticed without us asking what was going on (they served my partner's dish before mine because they got the wrong table). The prices are quite high if I'm honest but that might as well be because of the area. Loud and busy but I enjoyed every bite of my dinner (I had the vegetable curry, which I recommend it was delicious and the rice was perfect).
Interesting list of desserts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic restaurant in the center of Merano, with beautiful selection of local specialties, we loved the speck , the cheese knudeln, and the gnocchi with rabbit orange and rosmarin. The selection of beer ! The price is a bit higher for what it is!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An unavoidable place for anyone visiting Merano, the Forsterbräu in the center is maybe more polished compared to the biergarten in Forst (and it doesn't have all the beers they have there), but it's still an excellent introduction to Sudtyrolean beer culture. Good beers, kitchen open till late with good food (the pork shank is really great). Sometimes you get standoffish service.
