La statua che rappresenta l'eroe mitologico e che sovrasta la colonna dorica è una copia dell'Ercole Farnese (III secolo) conservato al Museo archeologico nazionale di Napoli. Attraversando il Parco della Favorita consiglio una sosta per ammirarla. The fountain of Hercules in the Parco della Favorita is in neoclassical style. La fontana è totalmente abbandonata grazie all'amministrazione comunale palermitana che nn attenziona questo monumento. Come questo tanto altro è ancora in stato d'abbandono. È possibile ammirare la fontana anche passeggiando in bici. Vale la pena vederla...anche così com'è. The place is really lovely. Nestled in the park of the Favorita.
