An artificial isthmus in a Nature Reserve of rare beauty, to draw irrigation from the waters of the Adriatic, and thus reclaim the vast lands around, cultivated with agricultural products, and vegetables.
It is a canal full of water, a few hundred meters long, which starts from the sea, and pours into the wide reservoirs of the Saline di Margherita di Savoia!
It is an enchanting Protected Natural Area, interesting both in summer and in winter, and in autumn, or in winter!
It is the natural habitat of numerous aquatic birds, which find refuge and nest among its banks.
Such as: Pink Flamingos, Herons, Avocets, Knights of Italy, Gazettes, Seagulls, and many more! Lately, the Stork has also returned to nest.
Bridges, piers, and bridges located at times throughout the area, allow you to stop on it, while perhaps you pass there in front, first, to contemplate so many natural beauties, and also to photograph them so wide-ranging, directly on the spot.
La Foce Aloisa, is a Natural Environment, which must not only be visited, but must be explored, right down to its most enclosed landscape values, and lived to the fullest to fully understand its interesting ecosystem, which has now become sustainable, thanks to the institutions of Protected Wetlands!
