★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one incredible place. It is an outstanding family winery. While the sparkling Francia Corta wines are clearly the stars, they also make outstanding reds with mixtures if french varietals and nebbiolo. Beautiful setting with outstanding views of Lago Iseo and the surrounding mountains. You owe yourself a visit here.
Here again in 2020. Even better if that is possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were so impressed by this amazing family run winery in Franciacorta. We saw the family members hard at work during our visit and Mr Gatti popped in to say hello. Our guide for the winery tour and degustation, Alessandro, was knowledgeable, engaging and down to earth. The winery itself is a testament to passion and hard work and the wine we tasted connected us to the land (terroir), lake (Lake Iseo) and tradition. The high quality wines are elegant, easy to drink and beautifully presented in a unique style of bottle. It was harvest time in the region so we were thrilled to see the winery at work. Modern technology respecting age old traditions. A visit to Ferghettina is highly recommended and we can’t wait to return.
