Fattoria Viticcio

We did the wine tasting and tour here, and it was lovely. The wine is top notch, as I have actually seen it in the States previously. The Reserve is wonderful, so we bought a bottle. So quiet and still.

The place was beautiful but the service...oh man, was not nice at all. She rushed us into drinking the wines so they could close and we got there at 3:30 they closed by 5:30. They only give you a little bit of 4 wines to taste for 15€ and they're ok. Needless to say they literally kicked us out by 5:20 and they threw out what was left of the wine we payed for. So, if you're looking for someplace to chill, this is not it. Maybe it was just this girl, but I don't recommend it. However, the views are nice.

We spent 8 nights at this Agriturismo with very mixed feelings. The property is very picturesque and the village of Greve was ideal for serving as a base location to tour Tuscany. We reached most of our desired locations in 15 - 75 minutes including Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Florence and more. Our disappointments with this winery started with our initial introduction to our room. They called it the Tower of Love but it was almost dysfunctional starting with the multiple flights of narrow steps and doorways The bedroom was the very top while the bathroom was winding, narrow steps below. There was no place to hang anything, an extremely cramped bathroom and almost no functionality. It turned out to be the only room not named or pictured on their website. The receptionist agreed the room was not well suited for a 70 year-old man with a bad knee but said they had no alternative to offer us. To their credit, they did extend a 20% discount. If we could have found another alternative, we would have. Our next disappointment was a gross lack of service. One change of towels and zero change of bedding in 8 nights. It was a hassle just to get additional supplies like shampoo and toilet paper. Zero effort to clean or tidy the room. Some of the staff was pleasant but the overall attitude displayed to guests is summed up in their parking arrangements. Reserved parking for staff is close to the buildings, on pavement and covered. Guests park farther away on gravel without cover. This arrangement says it all about their attitude towards guests.

Fantastic place! We stayed for 5 nights in the big apartment (4 bedrooms). We didn't expect it to be that good: Private garden with BBQ, well equipped kitchen, modern showers, big and warm living room and best mattresses ever. Lurenza was great and made sure we had everything we need.

Viticcio winery was chosen by our friends for their recent wedding and what an amazing Hotel / Winery and setup!! . I myself didn't stay here but having attended the wedding and the drinks the following day this place will exceed all your expectations as it did for me. The layout and design of the hotel / winery, the staff, the surroundings & the views were all perfect. Will try very hard to come back and stay here in the near future!

€25 euro tour was a little disappointing, although our guide was excellent. But the tour didn't really show the whole vine to bottle process. We didn't see the pressing area and much of the rest of it could have been just for the sake of tourists... It didn't feel like an operational wine maker. It would have been great to see things in action, actual wine in the barrels, bottles being filled, etc. The tasting took 40 minutes, with ten minutes between each small sample of wine. It could have gone quicker at this stage, it doesn't take ten minutes to drink two mouthfuls of wine. Also the setting for the tasting although outside, didn't have spectacular views... Amazing Kyle there was no hard sell to buy any of the wines. And the wines were good (ranging from €11 to €30). We had earliest decided to walk, rather than drive, so I felt I could be free to enjoy the wine. Its a long walk from Greve Square, and there's not enough wine consumed to worry about. Overall interesting to see, but could have been better.

Positively surprised with the stay here. The outside area is amazing, pool is clean and the views are breathtaking. The room was not very posh but the kitchen was fully equipped and in general we had a very nice vacations there.

We traveled from US, emailed them to scheduled a wine tasting (several weeks before our trip), and never got a response back. While in Italy, visited them anyways to see if they accept walks in and a group of employees (3 young ladies) that were just coming in (around noon) told us were not welcomed because we needed an appointment. Really? We were welcome to walk around on the exterior but not to come in. Unbelievable! Needless to say, we just went back to our car and ended up on another Vineyard that welcomed us with open arms. Spent almost $300 on their Wines. Your loss, not ours... Coming back or buying their products ever? Obviously not. Some customer service trainings to your employees would make wonders (maybe) to the business. Just posting pictures to prove our visit back in March 2022.
