★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once upon a time this was a place with a lot of love. Over the years it seems that the people that run it became more and more feed up with it. Minor details details seem off starting with an arwick device that filled the room with its ‚odor’ that aims to cover some bad sir from the old walls. The cold lamps are another example. This very ancient estate is still a very scenery. But the young kids on the block that for example run the IUTA glamping close by overtook this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just arrived. No restaurant or bar, we'll see if it recovers at all! Edit: The Borgo Alveria is charming and in a lovely spot but that simply isn't enough. It is not a spa agriturismo or a boutique hotel, it is bed and breakfast with a pool!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we found the hotel on a boutique hotel website and booked it for one night on our way up to Etna. Like many others I have mixed feelings about the farmhouse. It’s a beautiful exterior and landscape. Also the interior was renovated and has a very fancy touch (especially the bathroom). BUT, I agree when people feel that somehow the owner lost “interest”. There is just too much mix, the staff don’t really care, the chairs look shabby etc., and the worst was - the shower was cold (it was 17 degrees that day). The estate has huge potential, and with a little care and changes it could be something amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice Hotel, attentive staff, good facilities , easy to find and remote so you can rest in the quiet Sicilian landscape
Like other said take the 2nd road from Noto ( at a 10km from Noto sign not the 9km) it is easier to drive
