★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really enjoyed the whole tour which was about 5-6 hrs long including the travel there and back. Our guide was a very nice and friendly person, he also speaks english very well which I personally was very happy about.
The pick up was punctual in the morning, on the way to the Etna he told lots of exciting informations. As he lives in the last town on the way to the volcano his experiences and informations are from first hand for sure.
We had three stops on our tour first was a natural terrace on the mountain with a spectacular view on a previous lava flow, the second stop was at a vulcanic cave and the third was at the big touristic area where the chairlifts are crawling up to the top and also there are some restaurants/taverns. There we did a walk around a few inactive craters, still got some interesting informations about plants that can live in the deserted area and in the end there was half an hour of free time to wander around a bit.
All in all we really really enjoyed the tour as we were absolutely got involved in the flow and I'm happy to recommend this company to anyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed our tour and our tour guide Simone. He was giving serious geographic info while making it a funny time. He also dropped us on the way back in the correct spot to catch our flight.
I gained a lot of knowledge from that tour and was definitely a highlight from my visit to Catania.

Luca's expertise and skill as a guide ensured that our group had the best experience possible, given the weather and volcanic conditions. If you're wondering whether our not this tour is worth the price, it absolutely is! If you've booked the summit trek and want to know what to expect, be ready for a few hours of steady hiking up reasonably navigable terrain. Your tour guide will be able to help outfit you with whatever equipment you need, however it's best if you're prepared with your own hiking boots, sunglasses, windbreaker, sunscreen, snack/lunch, and water.
