★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The exterior of the castle is beautiful and well maintained. The interior suffered a lot from earthquakes, but most disappointing is that was no furniture in any rooms. The museum consists mostly of ceiling frescos and paintings.
The 4 star review is 100% for the structure and it's great state.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to visit when on Ferrara. Is in central location and a few steps from shops and the high street. I have found this marvelous exposition in the internal cortile of the Castle plus was free to enter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must see in Ferrara. Not so appealing from the outside, but the painted ceilings are reminiscent of the Vatican, with less people! A very interesting gallery and museum are included with a tower aswell.
