Esselunga

Good supermarket for this neighborhood. They do not have many of the usual Esselunga products but finally recently they added their own bakery’s bread.

Well managed, prices clearly shown. Variety of products. Well organized and clean.

Not the largest supermarket in Milan and unfortunately they have a limited choice, for example for cheese. Curiously it is also very difficult to find Italian meat, especially beef. In general the standard Esselunga service applies. Very close and handy tram stop, lines 12 and 19.

An absolute horror of an experience! I would give zero stars if I could. Extremely rude and tourist-hating cashiers. Also much more expensive than other grocery stores in the area for almost all goods. We came in as tourists to buy a couple of groceries. We understand a little Italian, but prefer to speak English. When we arrived to the checkout, we said "hello" to the cashier, to which she started waving her hands and murmuring "che e, che e". We understand a little Italian, but prefer to speak English. We asked her about weighting the vegetables we wanted to buy - she kept deliberately ignoring us, saying "che e". Not even the slightest attempt to understand - sign language often works. She then started scanning our purchases and when she found that the vegetables had no price tag, she started openly yelling at us in Italian. We were shocked, I tried to ask her what was wrong in broken Italian, she spat something with " fare corse linguisti",threw the vegetables under the counter, threw us a bag and declared the final price in Italian. We didn't need a bag, we didn't ask for a bag in any way! We were also forced to leave without the needed vegetables. I had to bow over the counter to see the price on the screen, because she refused to turn it to me. I paid, she threw the change to the side where I again had to bow to stretch my arm painfully to reach it. We still said "thank you", though in retrospect, we shouldn't have. All in all, for the prices that they have, they could at least not shout at their customers. Very disappointed.

Price are affordable and reasonable

Good quality, large variety, you can find almost everything in an organized way with good price!

Essenluga is one of the best supermarket but some of their goods cost a little more than other supermarket i have visited,i also do most of my shopping there,they have self pay where you can attend to your self about you have bought your items

The prices are quite high, but the products are also good, for example many different types of salmon, meat and chicken.
