β β β β β The food choises were delicious and interesting. Vegan and vegetarian options. Order at least 3-meal course to get your stomach full. Waitress service however was dissapointed with visible uninterest, therefore i rate this full experience as four stars only.

β β β β β Was looking forward to going to this place. The atmosphere is nice but the food was mediocre. Basically got bread chunks with a little bit of asparagus βcremaβ for appetizer and potatoes sprinkled with walnuts for main. The other choice was getting a fried polenta. Hey youβre vegan, those are your options! Carbs and more heavy carbs! I donβt care how pretty you make it look, as a vegan going out expecting a vegan/vegetarian restaurant Iβd like more vegetables and color in my meal.
Overpriced, Not worth the money. Really left disappointed and unsatisfied. But Italy still has years to catch up. Itβs a start though. 2 stars.

β β β β β Really nice small restaurant with a weekly changing menu with typically two choices for each course (check on Facebook if you want to know your options in advance). Very attentive and friendly staff who will explain the menu and concept to you in detail. Uses products from small local providers and very interesting regional herbs for excellent meals. Very fair prices. We only discovered this restaurant on our last night in Trieste but would have definitely wanted to return otherwise. Recommended!

β β β β β A highly recommended restaurant and an absolute must for vegetarians and vegans. As others mentioned as well, the atmosphere really nice and the owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. But what I found most impressive is the restaurant's menu that focuses on local Friulian cuisine rather than the typical catch-all vegetarian dishes (typically spin-offs on the Arabic and Indian cuisines) that one usually finds in vegetarian restaurants around the world. The restaurant offers a limited but perfected set of dishes and it's well worth to try them all!

β β β β β I really don't like writing negative reviews but here it goes: My girlfriend and I are on vacation in Croatia. As she is vegan and Croatian Cuisine is mostly not, I looked for a great vegan restaurant and 60 miles and 2 countries away there was this Osteria. So we did a day trip to Triest. What a beautiful city. The opening hours on Google and on the sign at the door is 6pm.
So we arrived hungry and in good spirits at 6:05pm, just to be yelled at. The very unfriendly woman yelled a word in Italien which I guess meant "Closed". To be sure I asked in English if I guessed right. In a even louder voice she yelled "We open at 7", as I wanted to ask why the discrepancy between Google Maps, the Sign at the door (both 6pm) and her unfriendly announcement, we got another very loud spoken" It's
closed" I Know everyone can have a bad day , but this kind of rudeness was quite special. Sadly....

β β β β β We were so disappointed this evening, by the lack of welcome and negative attitude received from our 'hostess'. Some of her remarks: "we are not for tourists; we serve traditional dishes for local people", (even though I am NOT a tourist but work full time in the city); "everything is vegan, apart from 2 dishes, which I already told you" (not true, as one of the dishes has ricotta in- she did not mention that they can leave it out). She then raised her eyebrows and sighed when we only ordered starters- there was nothing in main course that was suitable/appealing. When she brought our wine to the table, she slammed the (very little) jugs down, without a word. We were left feeling so unwelcome and uncomfortable. The food was mediocre and over-priced. Definitely the worst meal and worst service we have had in Trieste, after being here for nearly 2 months. Would be very surprised if this place survives another 2 years. Another thing is they did not answer the phone to my UK number but picked up straight away when dialling from an Italian phone!!
